Pride

There are 2 verses that have caught my attention in the Bible!

Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)

12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

Proverbs 16:25 (NKJV)

25 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

 ___________________________________________________

Somewhere in the beginning of Genesis, or before it, Satan felt that his way was the best way instead of the Lord's way. Satan had a lot of pride that it ate him up, and he still haven't dealt with it. Then the Lord threw him out of Heaven along with tons of rebellious angels that became demons.

We, too, can have pride, and it will slowly eat us out, that we don't even notice it unless someone else tells you about it. Boy, am I happy that we have brothers and sisters who care about us.

Why would the Lord have us write two of the exact same verses in the Bible? It's because pride is the greatest of all sin, just above adultery. We must be very careful about pride, and deal with it whenever it comes up. We will only realize that we have pride when, someone points it out in us, whether it the Lord, or man.
.

Exodus 20:3  (NKJV)

“You shall have no other gods before Me.

Here is a link on an awesome article I found!

We can make anything our god. We can even make ourselves a god, which will result in the Lord literally throwing us into the pit of Fire for eternity! Have you prayed for humility today?

The Daniel Plan Chapter 2 - The Essentials

Luke 10:27 New King James Version (NKJV)

27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’[a] and‘your neighbor as yourself.’[b]
_________________________________________________________

God's love is so strong that it will change people's lives forever. We have to fully commit our lives to him, so that He will transform our lives from the inside out. One way we can do that is by looking at Daniel's life. We think that when Daniel was pleading with the Chief of the eunuchs about not eating meat, that the Lord transformed Daniel's life along with his 3 friends into miraculous perfect healthy people, but this is wrong thinking, and is not logical.

You see, Daniel committed his whole life to the Lord in all areas of his life. This included his physical body. So you ask me how he would be able to do that? Well, here are 5 key areas that we are going to look at.

1. Faith
2. Food
3. Fitness
4. Focus
5. Friends

Daniel had great faith in the Lord by seeking the Lord. This is more then just praying everyday. When you are seeking the Lord, you are trying to find more info about him, talking to him, and fasting all the time. I wouldn't fast every day, but I would say the minimum is once a week.

Daniel also ate the right types of food. He didn't eat any meat, but ate vegetables. Let me ask you 2 question. Does eating meat tear you down? Does eating vegetables build you up?

We also have to do exercise every day, but why do I have to exercise every single day? I mean, whenever I do, then it gets boring and a waste of my time, Well, in later chapters, I am going to show you how to transform your mind into thinking fitness is fun.

Philippians 4:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

Meditate on These Things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there isanything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
_________________________________________________________

We have to allow the Lord to transform our minds, so that whatever is coming into us is coming out of us. If you listen to negative stuff, then you negative stuff will come out. If you listen to positive stuff, then positive stuff will come out.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Value of a Friend

Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
________________________________________________________

Finally, we also have to have friends in our lives who will build us up especially, when we are exercising. I would not recommend exercising unless you are doing it with someone else. There are some people who can exercise by themselves, but this is the minority of people.

So, think about these things, and God bless!

The Daniel Plan: Chapter 1

I started reading the book called "The Daniel Plan," and this book is all about how to make your physical body set apart for the Lord. You see, the Lord loaned everything to us in this world, even our physical bodies, and he wants us to be stewards of our bodies, our wealth, our belongings, and everything else.

1 Corinthians 6:12-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”[a] 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[b] and in your spirit, which are God’s.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are many people who are not taking care of themselves. They either play video games which is a rapidly growing trend, and I do play it sometimes. But, they also get addicted to video games, play it non stop. There are also many other addictions like alcohol, drugs, and even overeating.

Many people think to quit their addictions is that they have to use willpower to quit out of fear or guilt, but the Lord wants us to quit out of love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New King James Version (NKJV)

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
______________________________________________________

Love is perfect, but I still go back to my video game addiction. If I do that, then I have not grasped what love truly means. I will start praying to the Lord what love means and to help me grasp it. Have you totally grasped what perfect love is?

Prophecy about America Rebelling against the Lord

A few months ago, the Lord spoke through me about America. I didn't want to show it to people because I was afraid about what they might think about me. Well, recently the Lord came over me and is now constantly reminding me to post the audio clip of a prophecy of America rebelling against the Lord! Please watch and share.

MyHealth90 review - Initial Day to 30 days

A month ago, I believe the Lord wanted me to go on MyHealth90 which is a health weight loss that is not a diet but a lifestyle change. Their website is MyHealth90.com. My diet before was hardly eating any fruits and vegetables, and eating non-gmo frozen yogurt multiple times a week. I attended a buffet at least 1 to 3 times a month. I hardly exercised in the fall and winter, but I exercised a lot last Summer and the year before.

As I went on the MyHealth90 plan, I received daily videos, with a phone call once a week for the first two weeks. 2 weeks after that, I haven't received any phone calls except after I initially made the call. I am exercising a lot more which is a plus, while juicing twice a day, although I missed some days. The plan makes an emphasis to go vegan as the coaches don't want you to drink milk. I drink milk as long as its grass fed milk, and also eat eggs as long as the chickens are organically grain fed, and living on grass.

The plan also had meal planning which is nice for some people, but doesn't fit well with me. I stopped doing the meal plan, because it was too complicated for me. I called the coach, and they said that every person is different, and he would see about getting me back on meal plans, maybe. Matt Maddix, who is the main coach also says you have to drink at least half a gallon of water a day which is completely understandable. Matt also talks about Affirmations which I personally don't get, but I understand that it would benefit other people.

I have list 3 to 4 pounds so far making my weight 179 from a weight of 182 to 183.

My overall rating so far is 7 out 10. We will see if that rating goes up toward the end of 90 days as the business just started. They did change up the meal plans for people so that it is a lot better.

Mission 25 trip to Detroit

I finally got to typing out the update for the Mission 25 trip. It was a blast!

While I was heading to Detroit, I stopped by Moe's southwestern grill. They are big competitors against Chipotle. Go and see for yourself why!

Passed under a cool bridge as I was nearing Detroit.

Saturday morning, the 19th, we went to the streets of Detroit. We all went to this one street where there were hundreds of homeless people. We started giving out homemade apple and carrot juice. We also gave out Starbucks coffee, bananas, bagels, and more. We also got to know a lot of them.

During that time, the Lord led me to a person named Dee. We all went to a buffet in a casino which is too funny! I took Dee to the buffet and we had a blast. I talked to him about the Lord, baptism, and the Holy Ghost! He understood the difference and he wanted to get baptized. So some of us took him to a nearby church to get baptized. After he got baptized, he felt so happy and had a glow on him!

While we were going to a youth center, we past this big house that looked like a dump. Truly sad!

Bro. Maddix giving out free ice cream to children in need.

While we were at this Youth Center, I met this guy who was one of the heads of the Youth center. He felt truly thankful, because the Mission 25ers fixed their basketball hoops which were broken. They also gave them lots of gifts and gave them tons of pizza.

We went to a different apartment complex to give children ice cream and gifts. We also played kick ball with them. The people at the low income complex were truly thankful for the Lord working through us!

This is Dee getting baptized in Jesus Name!

This is the weirdest insect I have ever seen! It never attacked us either.

Me and my friend which is in a picture below went to a Mediterranean place, and I ate an exotic food. I had  a Lamb Tongue wrap! The meat was soft and hard at the same time. It tasted like lamb that was soft. :)

There are truly amazing people in this world like the guy below. *Name disclosed*

The Master Mechanic

A few weeks ago I bought a 1996 Honda Accord, and I went to get a compression test on the engine to see how the engine was doing. My mechanic told me that the score came out to be 90 which is a very bad score for the engine. I prayed and talked to the Lord about my car and what am I going to do. The Lord told me not to worry about it. I then asked the Lord to raise the compression score up so my car doesn't die in a year. I did another compression test on my car with another friend helping me because I would like to learn how to repair my own car. The compression came out to be 120! I could not believe it. The Lord fixed my engine in my car. He doesn't just heal people, he can heal cars.

I can now call him the Master Mechanic!

Learning to become Selfless!

It all started in January. I started rebelling against the Lord! I wanted things my way. I wanted to eat good food. I wanted to do whatever I want. I gave into my Gaming addiction again where I play computer games for hours on end. Then, it all started crashing down on me. I was sad, and I saw less and less of others and my family.

Then in late June, I decided to just give up and hand my life to the Lord again. I found out that when you fast then addictions start to break. When you seek the Lord then everything around you starts to become nothing because you love the Lord so much. Everything except human beings. But, I was still full of myself.

What can make a person be full of them-self? It is when they stop caring about other people around them and do things their way. You know, I have this bad habit of being late to things. I would be late to church, hanging out with my friends, and even late to my families house. But, I decided that enough is enough! I want to stop this being late habit. I always hate it when I late. It just brings stress up, and also makes me sad. So, I decided to work on a habit of not being late. It is because I need to care about people more, and to become more selfless.

I also want to start thinking about ways to help other people. This reminds me of some very good friends of mine that are in Arkansas. This family that I met are like totally selfless. They really care about other people so much that it either makes you feel bad that you aren't being selfless enough, or it will motivate you to become selfless.

This is why I attended Mission 25! I attended it to learn how to become selfless like Jesus did. I want to just go to the street, find someone, and give to him so much that he is willing to be filled with the Holy Ghost. This is my desire and I want to do the Lord's will!

Mission 25 Chicago Pictures

We juiced several gallons of carrots and apples to give to the homeless Saturday morning!

We took the homeless out for breakfast

Went to Englewood to give free ice cream to to kids

I will always remember this guy! Bro. Maddix gave me a challenge. He told me to find someone in the next 10 minutes who wanted to be baptized. The Lord led me to James who later on was baptized in a public pool in the middle of Englewood!

We went to a homeless shelter which the name is withheld. We gave them fans, remodeled their yard, made a new stone path to their yard, and much more! God had filled around 3 with the Holy Ghost and 3 were Baptized in Jesus Name!

Gossip

Ted was walking through a grocery store with Tim. They started talking about Sports and how some teams were having a hard time winning and other teams were dominating in Football. As Ted, picked up some Fuji Apples, he glanced over at a lady who reminded him of one of his friends named Sally. He then turns over to Tim, and says, "Have you heard that Sally cheated on her boyfriend, and they aren't even married!" Tim, looked over to Ted with a stern look, saying, "I am sorry Ted, but I do not want to talk about this. Can we talk about some more positive stuff?"

What Ted did was called Gossip, and it is a terrible thing to do! Gossip is negative talk about any person whether you know them or not. You see we can talk about the performance of a single player or a team, but when it gets down to information that very few people know about, or about negative information that the other person can't confirm that it is true or not then it is Gossip. Gossip can be about anything negative, when you start thinking about it.

You see, the Bible also talks a lot about gossip and how deadly it can destroy relationships, whether your in the business world or not. And also, another very negative thing is called Holy Gossip. Holy Gossip is when you ask people to pray for a specific person and you tell them the specific reasons why they should pray for them in a negative way. Its like this. Please pray for Greg because he is abusing his wife and hitting his children. This is very negative! Instead, you can say, "Please pray for Greg because he is going through some problems in his life, " or something like that.

Ephesians 4:29

New King James Version (NKJV)
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

Devotional: Learn something new

This is what I wrote in the OLGA (Online Gamers Anonymous) Community.

Proverbs 1:5 (New King James Version)

Proverbs 1:5

New King James Version (NKJV)
A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,

I encourage you to read a book today, and learn a lot on your favorite topic today, because that is how we are going to grow in this world. You know, we can't just keep doing the same old thing every single day. We have to learn something so that we can grow, and change ourselves for the better every single day.

Prayer:

Higher Power (Lord) Help me to learn and do your will today, and every day. Help me to grow in you and be like the wise man who will hear and increase in learning. Help me to be a man of understanding who will attain will counsel. Help me to increase in you every single day. Help my fellow OLGA buddies to quit their gaming addictions and to find you. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Challenge Question:

What can I learn today that will help me feel and be like a wise humbled man today?

What can I do differently today that will help me defeat addictions in my life?

Melchizidek

Who is Melchizidek? Was he a person or an angel on the Earth? Is he another Arch Angel other then the Arch Angel Gabriel? These and other questions have bore my mind in as I tried to study up on this question in the Bible and by prayer. But, let me tell you what I found out about him.

This is just my idea of who is Melchizidek and it could be all wrong, but I am not going to study up on it more as it is only meant to be answered in Heaven.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he went down and took the keys of Hell and made it possible for people to go to Heaven. After, Jesus came out of Hell , he came back to Earth to be with his disciples one last time. Then he rose up to the Heavens, and then he went back in time to be Melchizidek to give everyone hope that they can go to Heaven. He was always serving the Lord 24/7. He never died so he is either still living today or he was taken into Heaven.

Here is a scripture of Melchizidek serving the Lord in Abram's age.

Genesis 14:18-20

New King James Version (NKJV)
Abram and Melchizedek

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

And he gave him a tithe of all.

__________________________________________

So it all is a mystery, and probably will never be answered until we get to Heaven! God Bless you!

Fasting

This topic is a very important subject to cover, because it will help you reach places that you never reached before. Well, why is this the most important subject and why should I fast. Am I going to get anything out of this? I tell you that you are going to get more then what you asked for.

When you fast for a particular thing or you fast to grow in the Lord, then strongholds start falling down all around you. Strongholds like fear, rebellion, shame, and guilt. Family, work, friends, and Spiritual issues start falling down to the ground, because when you fast then you are humbling yourself before the Lord. You are saying spiritually, "Ok, Lord, you are in control!" The Lord wantrs you to fast.

When I started fasting a while ago, then I all of a sudden I get this feeling that I want to serve the Lord more. Also, an issue that was out of my control just disappeared and the Lord blessed me so much! It also humbled me too.

Isaiah 58:6

New King James Version (NKJV)

6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

So, the Lord even says it in the Bible too. I have found so much scripture in the Bible that it is unbelievable. But, I would like to challenge you to fast for a specific reason and see if the Lord changes a situation in your life. The Lord is all powerful and he has unlimited power so I know that he will change your life for the better. I love you all and God bless!

Don't be so quick to judge

Within the last few weeks, the Lord started showing me that I was judging a lot of stuff. I was judging my family, my friends, and even the church. I was assuming and saying stuff that were not true. You know the Lord talks a lot about judging others. He said in Matthew 7:1-5,

Matthew 7:1-5

New King James Version (NKJV)
Do Not Judge

7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

We can't just assume stuff with people. It is wrong and very deadly, because when we die and go to the throne of judgement, then the Lord will judge us to the measure we have given others. According to the dictionary, judging someone means to make a mental judgement. That would mean that when you make a mental judgement then it changes your entire decision process about that particular thing, or person to corrupt thinking. So, ask yourself, whether you are judging someone or not.

Prayer

Is prayer a monologue or a dialogue? Is it a set structure that you have to pray every single day? Is it just reading a set of words every single time that you pray? I used to think that all of these questions were statements. I used to think that I had to ask the Lord for forgiveness every single time that I pray. Well, this was a fear in my life that I have destroyed. But, let me tell you what prayer really is.

It is a free flow relationship with our best friend, the Lord Jesus Christ! Just think, how would you treat your best friend? You wouldn't always say sorry to him and ask for forgiveness. You wouldn't say a set dialogue to him every single time you see him. No, you would want to get to know him better. You would want to hang out with him. You would do everything you can to increase your relationship with him.

That is what we have to do with our Lord! We do not just get down on our knees to pray. We can raise our arms, leap for joy, bow down to him, and more. We can meditate, sleep, watch sermons, read a spiritual book, and even go on walks. It says in Philippians 4:6

Philippians 4:6
New International Version (NIV)

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

This verse has grabbed at me, because I have been dealing a lot with fear. So, when I have a fear, or start worrying, and being anxious, then I can start praying. Someone from my church told me that fear and prayer cannot be combined, which means that whenever I start worrying then I can start praying. That is so awesome!

I have 2 articles that you can read to further study what prayer is.

How do I pray by Robert Wellis

How to pray all day by Prayer Today

Meditation

A few years ago, I started learning about meditation and how it relates to the Bible. I used to think the meditation is only thinking about the Lord. Wow, am I so wrong. Just a few days ago, I started reading more on meditation and how it is used in the Bible. I didn't even know that you can meditate on verses and that will greatly help you memorize verses, because I think that it is God that is quickening your memorization as long as you meditate on them too.

Psalm 23rd is a good chapter to start memorizing and meditating on.

Psalm 23
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Lord the Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

In verse one you can think the Lord being a shepherd having outstretched arms coming toward you. He starts giving you a lot of gifts that you had needed, then you start running toward the Lord in tears. He starts caressing you as you bask in His presence.

Isn't that a sweet thing just to imagine the Lord all day long and the verses in the Bible. Its just a sweet thing! Now go to verse 2 and start meditating on it and go on to the next verse after that. You might meditate on things for a few minutes to a few hours. Awesome!

God Bless!

Is Sleep important?

Is sleep important? That is a very good question. Lots of times we just stay up to the wee hours of the morning thinking that we are being productive by finishing some work or studying for a big exam the next day. Well, let me break the ice. Sleep is the number one thing that we need in our life.

Did you know that when you are sleeping then our body is creating new cells, reproducing the information we have seen or processed in our heads during that day, and making us more alert toward the next day? Yes, this is what the brain does every single night of your life. If your brain doesn't do this then you will never grow, or learn anything. It will just disappear. That is why it is so important to sleep!

Also, there is a Spiritual side to taking a nap or sleeping. Did you know that when you are sleeping that you are in constant communication with our Lord? This is so true because the Lord is molding our body and especially our brains while we are sleeping. Its probably the only way other then a miracle during the day time where he can work on our brains. God is miraculous! So if you think that you are not praying enough at night, then relax. Go to bed, and be assured that you are in constant communication with the Lord all night long when you are sleeping.

P.S. Of course, in rare circumstances, you can be fully awake, and praying all night, and the Lord can still give you a full nights rest. Pretty cool!

Love you and God Bless!
