Pride

There are 2 verses that have caught my attention in the Bible!

Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)

12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

Proverbs 16:25 (NKJV)

25 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

Somewhere in the beginning of Genesis, or before it, Satan felt that his way was the best way instead of the Lord's way. Satan had a lot of pride that it ate him up, and he still haven't dealt with it. Then the Lord threw him out of Heaven along with tons of rebellious angels that became demons.

We, too, can have pride, and it will slowly eat us out, that we don't even notice it unless someone else tells you about it. Boy, am I happy that we have brothers and sisters who care about us.

Why would the Lord have us write two of the exact same verses in the Bible? It's because pride is the greatest of all sin, just above adultery. We must be very careful about pride, and deal with it whenever it comes up. We will only realize that we have pride when, someone points it out in us, whether it the Lord, or man.

Exodus 20:3  (NKJV)

“You shall have no other gods before Me.

We can make anything our god. We can even make ourselves a god, which will result in the Lord literally throwing us into the pit of Fire for eternity! Have you prayed for humility today?

The Daniel Plan Chapter 2 - The Essentials

Luke 10:27 New King James Version (NKJV)

27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’[a] and‘your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

God's love is so strong that it will change people's lives forever. We have to fully commit our lives to him, so that He will transform our lives from the inside out. One way we can do that is by looking at Daniel's life. We think that when Daniel was pleading with the Chief of the eunuchs about not eating meat, that the Lord transformed Daniel's life along with his 3 friends into miraculous perfect healthy people, but this is wrong thinking, and is not logical.

You see, Daniel committed his whole life to the Lord in all areas of his life. This included his physical body. So you ask me how he would be able to do that? Well, here are 5 key areas that we are going to look at.

1. Faith
2. Food
3. Fitness
4. Focus
5. Friends

Daniel had great faith in the Lord by seeking the Lord. This is more then just praying everyday. When you are seeking the Lord, you are trying to find more info about him, talking to him, and fasting all the time. I wouldn't fast every day, but I would say the minimum is once a week.

Daniel also ate the right types of food. He didn't eat any meat, but ate vegetables. Let me ask you 2 question. Does eating meat tear you down? Does eating vegetables build you up?

We also have to do exercise every day, but why do I have to exercise every single day? I mean, whenever I do, then it gets boring and a waste of my time, Well, in later chapters, I am going to show you how to transform your mind into thinking fitness is fun.

Philippians 4:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

Meditate on These Things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there isanything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

We have to allow the Lord to transform our minds, so that whatever is coming into us is coming out of us. If you listen to negative stuff, then you negative stuff will come out. If you listen to positive stuff, then positive stuff will come out.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Value of a Friend

Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.

Finally, we also have to have friends in our lives who will build us up especially, when we are exercising. I would not recommend exercising unless you are doing it with someone else. There are some people who can exercise by themselves, but this is the minority of people.

So, think about these things, and God bless!
