I started reading the book called "The Daniel Plan," and this book is all about how to make your physical body set apart for the Lord. You see, the Lord loaned everything to us in this world, even our physical bodies, and he wants us to be stewards of our bodies, our wealth, our belongings, and everything else.
1 Corinthians 6:12-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her?For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”[a] 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[b] and in your spirit, which are God’s.

There are many people who are not taking care of themselves. They either play video games which is a rapidly growing trend, and I do play it sometimes. But, they also get addicted to video games, play it non stop. There are also many other addictions like alcohol, drugs, and even overeating.
Many people think to quit their addictions is that they have to use willpower to quit out of fear or guilt, but the Lord wants us to quit out of love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

Love is perfect, but I still go back to my video game addiction. If I do that, then I have not grasped what love truly means. I will start praying to the Lord what love means and to help me grasp it. Have you totally grasped what perfect love is?
